There is a bit left unclear (e.g. how can some people tell there are lies?) but you feel confident that will be explained. But the end really falters. To call it an open conclusion is not right. It opens new major plot holes in the name of a "twist" but it doesn't make sense. I felt too much was left up in the air by the end.

I really enjoyed the book but it was also completely heartbreaking that they make you so fall in love with the murder victim and you know from the start that she was murdered. Very tough.
I also found the very final reveal and outcome from that to be unsatisfactory!

While I normally prefer to listen to fiction audiobooks, I enjoyed The Art Thief!
I found it incredible, both the extent of the crime and the lack of punishment. I would have thought it outlandish fiction if not told otherwise. The psychosis—both real and imagined—was also fascinating.
